Emily Tovar, DDS

Dr. Tovar is a skilled and gentle-handed dentist who genuinely cares about her patients. A graduate of the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry, she continues to stay at the forefront of dental advancements through ongoing education and training, and is an active member of her local dental society, California Dental Association (CDA), and American Dental Association (ADA). 

Before her time in dentistry, Dr. Tovar was at the University of California, Berkeley where she studied Art and Biology, a foundation that greatly enhances her approach to the field as a blend of both the sciences and the arts. It is this background in the arts that sharpens her eye for symmetry, aesthetics, and fine detail and that allows her to create smiles that are not only healthy but also beautiful. Known as well for her meticulous attention to detail, Dr. Tovar approaches each procedure with precision and care, ensuring the highest quality outcomes for her patients.

What truly sets Dr. Tovar apart is her gentle, patient-centered approach. Dr. Tovar believes that every patient deserves personalized, high-quality care, and she takes pride in building long-term relationships based on trust, comfort, and outstanding results. You might be surprised to learn that Dr. Tovar is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Raised in the Bay Area in a Chinese-speaking household, she continues to cherish her roots and enjoys visiting family there whenever she can. Outside the office, Dr. Tovar also enjoys dabbling in photography, trying out new recipes, and spending quality time with her husband and their two children.
